Hard to see, but sitting peacefully after being chased by the local Tuareg kids in the Sahara, is a baby goat which I have petted to sleep. He can be seen sheltered between my knees.

We arrived at the Cure Salee along with hundreds of camels and riders, to celebrate the end of the rainy season. Everyone was dressed to the 9's including, of course, all the camels. Most wore gree grees and were emaculately groomed. Sleeping in the desert amongst all the animals... goats, camels, donkeys, cows, was the best, though a bit noisey. My all time favs were the albino camels....so beautiful.

In Burkina Faso, we met our friends outside of Gorum Gorum where we camped near their Tuareg encampement. Friendly curious faces followed us throughout the day and night there.
At night, we sat and listened to their music, singing and enjoyed their dancing under the starlit sky.
